After many years of walking with the Lord and gaining experience through various business and corporate ventures, I never expected to step into full-time ministry. But God often writes a better story than we could plan ourselves. In 2024, my wife was invited to a Still Water Camps vision dinner by a new friend. At the time, I was coming out of a difficult season of unemployment and felt hesitant to attend. Still, we decided to go, believing it couldn’t hurt to learn more about a local ministry. That evening became a turning point for our family. During the dinner, the Lord clearly stirred something in my wife’s heart to get involved. That summer, she stepped out in faith and served at all seven overnight camps. I joined on weekends whenever I could, supporting her and serving the ministry in any way needed. What started as a simple “yes” quickly grew into something much deeper. We continued serving the following summer and were honored to join the Hill Country Advisory Board. When the roles of Hill Country Area Director and Director of Camping Logistics became available, I initially struggled to see myself in full-time ministry. However, through prayer, wise counsel, and the Lord’s clear leading, our family stepped forward in obedience. Today, I am incredibly grateful to serve with Still Water Camps—an organization that is making a lasting Kingdom impact in the lives of children and families. This ministry has not only changed others, but has deeply strengthened and shaped the faith of our own family as well.

Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5–6
