As a middle school student, I placed my faith in Jesus while attending an overnight camp. The impact camp had on my life was eternal. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to attend camp and I’m thrilled to be a part of Still Water camps as I understand the life impact the camp environment can have on a child.
The Lord used camp and sports as a platform for the gospel in my life. I attended Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi where I played volleyball and earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in elementary education. I met my husband during graduate school. Matt and I have had the privilege of serving in some capacity over the years from overnight camps, Rookie Camps, and Champ Camps. We started serving at Still Water Camps as newlyweds on our summers off as we were both teachers at the time. My husband now serves as a Middle School Principal and we have 4 children who attend camp or who are now old enough to serve! I love being involved in Champ Camp and coordinating NUEYO groups within our community. I’m thankful for the impact Still Water camps has on my life but even more so on our children’s lives.
